Finally............ another band under my belt. I really needed to get back on the tour and AARON WILLIAMS & THE HOODOO took good care of me. Great blues band doing some great original tunes. The band is made up of Zac Auner on bass..... Eric Shackelford on drums..... Pete Ross on saxophone..... and Aaron Williams on guitar. Mr. Robert's bar is always a live music friendly place and this night was no acception. The crowd loved the band................ especially Pete, who seemed to have his own little cheering section.

I always thought the guitar players got the babes but I guess its those damn sax players.

Driving home that night I couldnt get "Pete...Pete...Pete" out of my head. Ive seen some great guitar players in my day but Aaron is now on my list. If you like listening to good blues players then put this band on your list. Aaron sizzles on his leads... almost like an 80's rock player... but still manages to stay within the "blues" style and feel. Aaron plays with a style all his own with a great voice to match. The rest of the band is really tight. Amazing since they have only been together since the beginning of this year. Sounds like the band may have a CD out this winter so keep a close eye on them. They also have a split bill with one of my favs CLEAR BLUE BETTY on December 7th at the Cuda Cafe in Deerfield!! Check them out on my top friends list on MySpace and listen some great blues sounds!!
