Been wondering the same thing myself. Seems everyone's on facebook these days.

I was wondering the same thing.  Have we run out of things to say? Has the economy brought the forum down along with it?  Who knows??

Seems like things are just sort of "slow" lately. Maybe it's the economy, I'm not sure. I've been trying to find a new group lately, and even that is slow going on sites like madisonmusicians.net, etc.

This forum definitely seems to be on the downslide, unfortunately. Some of the sections haven't had new posts since 2008...

Ironically, it might be because some people (like me) have found full time work in the last year.
Between 2 or 3 part time jobs + 1 full time job + my own band + working or filling in with other bands in one capacity or another, I have a lot less time to peruse the board.

I have noticed a lot of forum traffic going down and not just forums about music. I'm on several boards about electronics, CNC, motorcycles, software & other things.
Almost all of them have seen a drop in both membership and traffic. I'd hate for the forum world to go the way of the dial-up BBSs of the 80s & 90s, but that may be already happening.

Cheers,

I stopped in wondering also. I have a whole list of forums on my www.livemusichome.com that I just axed cause they're no longer there or haven't had any activity in years. I'll keep this one though. I think it might come back. Especially if we all post some stuff and link to useful stuff. It is called WIbands and there's plenty of rainy/snowy/crappy days that make for good online time:-)

Seeing that there's been over 700 views, I'd say that people are coming to see things, but not posting.  I tend to be one of those folks.  The forum is my home page on one of my browsers, so I check it often.

Reminds me of those call-in radio shows when a caller says "long time listener, first time caller".
